Arjuna and Subhadra were married according to the prescribed rites and rituals. Arjuna spent a few more days with the Vrishni Yadavas and then returned to Indraprastha along with Subhadra. Kunti and the Pandavas warmly welcomed the newlyweds.
Subhadra touched her mother-in-law Kunti's feet. Kunti hugged her. Subhadra then approached Draupadi and touched her feet as well. Subhadra said to her, "Dear sister, please accept me as your servant." Draupadi was impressed by Arjuna's new wife's grace and politeness. She blessed Subhadra, saying, "May your husband always be invincible."
Balarama and Krishna, accompanied by their relatives, also arrived at Indraprastha and gave Arjuna, his brothers, Subhadra, Draupadi, and Kunti expensive gifts. Yudhishthira organized a grand feast to celebrate Arjuna and Subhadra's wedding. After the feast, all the Vrishnis except Krishna returned to Dwarka.
In time, Subhadra gave birth to a son named Abhimanyu, who would grow up to be a handsome, brave, and virtuous warrior. Everyone loved him, but he was especially dear to his uncle Krishna. He was truly the pride of the Pandavas.
Draupadi gave birth to five sons: Prativindhya, Sutasoma, Shrutakarma, Shatanika, and Shrutasena, who were collectively known as the Upapandavas. They too would grow up to be brave warriors.
