The Talking Cave

A lion was looking for a place to rest when he saw a massive cave. No one was inside, and the lion liked it so much that he decided to stay there.

The cave belonged to a jackal, who saw the footprints of a lion outside the den when he returned. He devised a trick to determine whether the lion was still inside.

"Oh, cave!" shouted the jackal. "I will leave if you don't speak to me like you do every day."

The lion heard this and thought the talking cave was silent because it feared him. So he decided to answer instead, to lure the jackal in.

Hearing the lion’s roar, the clever jackal understood the danger and ran for his life.
