There was a reindeer who often went to a pool to look at his reflection. "How beautiful my antlers are!" he would say to himself. "If only my feet were as beautiful."
One day, a lion followed the reindeer. The latter ran toward a thick jungle, but his antlers got stuck in a dense thicket. He felt that death was near and began cursing his antlers. Eventually, with the help of his strong feet, he freed himself from the thicket. After this, using his feet, he leaped and jumped and successfully eluded the lion.
The reindeer thanked his "ugly" feet for saving his life, whereas his beautiful antlers had nearly caused his death. He realized that his feet were more essential than his antlers for staying out of trouble. From that day on, he no longer considered his feet ugly.
True worth lies in usefulness, not appearance.
