A fox living in a jungle saw a lion for the first time. The long mane, frightening body, deafening roar, and majestic demeanor terrified the fox, who fainted on the spot.
The next day, the fox saw the same lion. He was still scared but summoned some courage and tried to conceal his fear. Then he quickly bounded away.
On the third day, the situation completely changed. The fox went straight to the lion. "May there be victory, Your Majesty," he said. "Is everything all right?"
He began talking to the lion as if they were acquaintances and was no longer afraid. After seeing the lion two days in a row, he had grown familiar with the mighty beast.
Familiarity brings courage.
